I put myself “on the wagon” from shoe buying after my trip to Denver (more on THAT later 
)! One of my rationalizations for my insane shoe habit was that, since I have a young child, I didn’t get to travel a do the festival circuit like my friends. But then THIS year, with my son in 1st grade, I decided it was time for me to have a different kind of tango treat… so I went to Denver for the Labor Day fest… and then to San Fran just a month later… So now I have two competing tango loves! Shoes AND travel. Thankfully BsAs is still off the table for a couple of years… so at least I don’t have to worry about saving up for THAT!
But the shoe sellers are determined to make me spend my money! First Tango Wear, then Darcos and now Tango Wear again! And I can say that I am sorely tempted… on both fronts… and there is also this pair of CiF… but I am not ready to talk about that yet…
The Darcos deal is for 2 pair of their shoes and one pair of their new genie pants plus free shipping all for $234 which is a $80 savings off of just buying 2 pair of shoes… and I have been tempted to try their babuchas…
I like the purple ones… I am a little puzzled by the blue ones… I think that I would like to see the front… I can imagine putting my foot into that loop with catastrophic results…
These two pair of shoes are in the running to complete the order…
I love the purple fade heel and just discovered that it is available in a 9 cm heel. I love the lace over pink especially since I have a dress that would match them perfectly. However browsing the selection of 9 cm heels I created this combo:
I loooooooove that heel! I don’t know when it happened, but I became the kind of girl that wears pink (and wears it well). I have one pair of battered pink CiF that are going to need to be replaced soon and either of these would do it well. Problem is… I want them BOTH! And I don’t think even *I* can justify buying two pair of pink shoes!
I also have some hesitance to buy two pair of 9 cm Darcos shoes. All of the Darcos I own are 8 cm and I would worry about the balance. I can try one pair… but both is pushing it…
I’m pondering… in the meantime I’ll let you look at the Tango Wear deal yourself… I may get around to posting about it later!
I think if the purple pair is a must, I’d go for the marble pink pair. The lace pink pair is almost the same structural design as the very pretty purple pair, though I do like the black lace over the pink.
You know I’d take Darcos over Tangwear any day. I can never be sure which factory a given model is coming from with them, and so the sizing varies too much for my taste. The quality I have had from them is also less than stellar. I had the pair of purple suede shoes for less than a year and the chrome half soles are already coming loose.

I love the purple pair! Soo sexy… and that fade heel! Have you tried Taconeando shoes yet? Tangospeak has a barbie pink pair in satin on sale with an offer for 25% off a second pair.
I purchased three pair of GretaFloras from the tangospeak website in the last few months. The shipping time was extra long (I live in Hawaii and they took a month to get to me), but Caroline (the website owner) was extremely helpful and sent a me a free pair of my choice for the extra wait.

I love my Atei shoes, but I do agree with Bastet–sizing and quality makes me unsure about ordering from Tango Wear again … although free shipping + all those new designs is tempting…

Cassie- You might try Kathleen at Diva Boutique for Greta Flora. She just got some styles in and since you are in the states, it wouldn’t be considered Intl shipping. You’d probably get it much faster.

I had a look at those babuchas on their video on Youtube. It reminds me of an 80′s type thing (Yeah, I’m just that old). I can easily envision catastrophic results also. I can create catastrophic results with stretchy palazzo pants too!

Interesting what you say about tango-wear quality.I bought only one pair off them ( Eduviges), which I have been wearing a LOT for three years now – 3 times a week, marathons, festivals…and only now having the second sole they really start to show signs of age. Also the fit was exact to my measurements and I never got a bluster right from the beginning. Now I am just about to order 2 pairs (last day of special offer)! My only problem is that their leathers are not special, just ordinary stuff, no crazy colours, fabrics, metallic snake leathers, unconventional combinations. Darcos is much more interesting here. But do they still do custom shoes? When I ordered one pair off them also three years ago they did, but not really precisely. Since then they have also become much more expensive, if you order to Germany. Do you know, wether I can ask for other materials and heels? Are they reliable? now I will go back to my struggle for the special order!

oh tango wear.
I have bought 10 pairs of shoes for me and my mum from you over the years. Why then do you go silent and not answer any of my emails when I want to pay for the 11th pair I ordered?
Anyone else had the silent treatment? I did ask for a hidden platform (like my fake louboutins) could that be why jose carlos hs sent me to coventry?
